Text Box: I recall from my childhood that I went to after-school Bible Club and always heard a missionary story, some of which I still remember. My next door neighbor had tons of books that she read to me out in the yard, on the porch, or under a tree, and they were all missionary stories. One summer, she spent every Saturday afternoon reading Pilgrim’s Progress to me, along with a short missionary story. I grew up on missions and I always wanted to be a missionary, but I guess God knew I was not the outdoors type—I can’t stand bugs or creepy crawly things and the missionary life I read about always involved the outdoors.

Text Box: It’s heartbreaking to realize that those same stories are still real today—no jobs, no clothes, no padded pews, no electricity, and worst of all no Bibles. But thank God, there is still Jesus and salvation! And there are still people willing to spread the Good News—the missionaries and those who support them, both financially and prayerfully

Text Box: Bibles For The People has applied for funding assistance from the DeVos Foundation and other organizations around the country, and they indicated before they can grant money we would need to be a 501(c)(3) organization. Thus, we have filed for the 501(c)(3) status and have appointed a 5-member board of directors. Please write us if you are interested in serving on the board of directors or if you would like additional information.
